Cerebral Vascular Biology (CVB)

We welcome you to the CVB 2023 in Uppsala!

The CVB conference offers an exclusive opportunity for delegates with a special interest in vascular biology, pharmacology, neuroscience, and pharmaceutical science to come together and exchange expertise and opinions in the areas of:

  • Structure of CNS barriers
  • Development of in vitro models of CNS barriers
  • The role of brain barriers in the neurological diseases
  • Therapeutic strategies to target the BBB and BCSFB
  • Small and large drug transport and delivery across the barriers

We will have a truly exciting meeting with the ultimate aim of promoting the brain barriers as key in maintaining brain homeostasis and contributing to disease processes. We encourage Ph.D. students to participate and present during the meeting. Also, we look forward to the engagement of Swedish patient organizations. CVB 2023 is also proud of an excellent selection of sponsors joining the event, please find more information about our sponsors via the following link:

You are especially welcome to Uppsala in the early summer time, to enjoy not only a valuable scientific program but also great nature and the possibility to celebrate Midsummer in Uppsala on Friday 23rd together with CVB2023 participants! The Cerebral Vascular Biology, CVB 2023 meeting will be a key scientific and networking event for researchers from around the world to discuss their innovative research on CNS barriers, particularly the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier (BCSFB). CVB is held once every two years and it has always been one of the most exciting and important meetings in the cerebrovascular biology field since it began in 1992. The last three conferences took place in Paris, France (2015); Melbourne, Australia (2017); and Miami, Florida (2019).”
